Don't You Wish.........

Don't you wish that the most important thing you had to do all day was chase the multitude of Magpies that descend into your yard?

Or sit and watch the young pup run around like a mad thing

Wouldn't it be nice to have the time to sit for hours waiting for a lizard to poke its head out

Or take time to smell the flowers!

Don't you wish that sometimes you could just scratch around all day ,chase the ocassional butterfly and just enjoy the sunny day?

I often think just that but the irony is though when I do just do nothing after a short time I'm like, ok I need to do something, give me a job or a project. cheers Katherine

My favourite poem from my school days started thus: What is this life If full of care We have no time To stop and stare. No time to see As feilds we pass Where squirrels hide Their nuts in grass .....
I always loved the sentiment of appreciating the little sights and smells and sounds. Thanks for the reminder. It is pouring cats and dogs here at the moment. Cherrie

Our pets are such interesting little creatures, all busy with doing their own thing. Another time waster is watching the Magpies playing with a stick, they are so funny to watch!!!
And yes Pam that is Cato, grown very big. x

Ah yes, wouldn't it be nice? I guess our pets can teach us so much, like just taking it as it comes. And making the most of what you have. And just being, not doing much, just being in the now! xo

I'm definitely coming back as a cat. They have the best lives.
Mine spends his day following the sun around the house.
