Look at my pumpkins Suzie!

Suzanne from Enchanted Moments has been showing us her massive Pumpkin Vine that is taking over her yard.  I thought I would share mine with you though I think Suzie wins.

What started as a self sown Pumpkin Vine has grown into a ever creeping mass of Vine, flowers and Butternut Pumpkins!!!!  It covers the lawn, some of the corner Rose bed, is creeping up the pool fence and is now heading towards the house!!!!!
There are long ones,
Short ones, skinny ones and Fat ones.

and still they come!!! I think the very best ones are........

The Baked ones!!!!!!

How fantastic! I'm with you - love, love baked pumpkin! We've just discovered our pumpkins. At first we thought it was just a big mess taking over the vegie garden, but no, there are actually pumpkins - very exciting!

Very cool punkin vine you have there Jackie! Lucky you! Have to agree also that the best way with them is baked or roasted.
Just waiting for a vine to start up here with all this rain we've been having, cos I buried some food scraps in the yard a while back. Here's hoping. If it works I'll send you some pics! x

That is so hilarious...isnt a pumpkin vine just like something out of Jack and the bean stalk, but Jackie and the pumpkin vine.! I love the variety and shapes you are cultivating over there,so different to mine...I think it is just like finding treasure.....we could have a competition, who can grow the biggest pumpkin..I might have to get my hands on some Atlantic Giant seeds from the states!!!!!! Bring it on!!!!!!

We have the giant ones growing this year, they are half the size of the american ones, but still too heavy for two people to lift!! I will stick it up on my blog when we have harvested and you can email me for some seeds!! They are getting bigger every year! Last year they were a bit bigger than a basket ball, but this year they are bigger than 3 balls rolled together!!

WOW - aren't they the best kind - the ones that come up by themselves and give you lots of produce. Delicious.
