Garage Sale Treasures

I've been over at Lakes Entrance visiting my Mum for a couple of weeks, She had a long list of little jobs for me to do and in between we Op shopped and fitted in a couple of Garage Sales as well. There wasn't too much treasure to be found in the Op Shops but I managed to find this tea trolley in a second hand shop when we went looking for something that Mum needed. The Rat cage fits perfectly on the top of it and eventually I will give it a bit of a paint job. The mustard does nothing for me.

There were only two garage sales while I was over there which was a bit disappointing but I think I did very well out of them. There was one Saturday morning and I picked up these Vintage Utensils for the princely sum of 50cents for the lot.

The second garage sale was on Sunday just around the corner and I found this little mirror,

an embroidered Tablecloth ,a small clothes airer, and a few scarves for my daughter. There was a lot more stuff I would have loved to buy but there is only so much a person can fit in their car!

I did bring one other thing home from the Saturday Garage sale. I was looking at this gorgeous old commode chair , trying to decide if it would fit in the car when I came home. Remember I had that Tea Trolley to fit in as well. The seat lifts up, the pot is still in its place underneath and the chair is in really good condition. Anyway I was umming and arring and the lady running the sale came over and said if I wanted it I could have it .......for FREE!  Instantly there was no more thinking about it, I just thanked her very much and headed out the door with it tucked under my arm.
Lucky for me the Trolley and chair fitted on the back seat...........just.
