The kindness of strangers.

Sometimes we lose faith that strangers can reach out and help one another without there being some kind of ulterior motive or reward especially we see the terrible things that happen locally, nationally and globally. People just don't want to get involved. Then something happens to restore that faith in the basic kindness of humanity.

Sadly, on Monday night sweet little Munchie  walked out on to the road at the wrong time. The driver didn't stop but someone else did when she saw her lying on the road and knocked on doors until she found Nicky and neighbours that my daughter had never met helped wrap Munchie and bring her into the house .My youngest son drove them the hour and a half  to get back here because she just wanted to bring her home . In the dark and the rain we settled her to rest in the garden under the weeping cherry tree.

It was a difficult night for my girl but the help of kind strangers made it just that little bit easier for her and I am so glad she didn't have to go through it alone.

Oh so sad, but heartwarming too Jackie. Made me a bit teary, knowing how I'd feel if it was one of mine. Poor Nicky and I know you'd be quite sad too. :( ♥x♥

How devastating for you all and at the same time a wonderful story highlighting the better side of human nature - I was touched and bought to tears though when I read how your girl needed to bring her girl home - speaks volumes for Nickys connection and love for family and home. x
