So I have decided that it is time for a big clean up. There is stuff shoved into cupboards that I really need to get rid of and today seemed like a good day to start. During a quick phone call with my friend Chris (we managed to keep it under 3 hours which is pretty good for us) we were discussing letting go of all the things we have that we really don't want or need anymore and I remembered this when I got to the very back of the cupboard.
In a box of all sorts of things like my Fonzie scrap book and all my Primary school report cards, I found these.........
I am pretty sure that when I finally forced myself to part with my massive stack of Dolly Magazines I decided to keep these three just for pulling out and remembering. But it got worse the deeper into the cupboard I went because I found these......
My felt posters that adorned my walls, ooh about 35years ago. I couldn't believe that I still had them! Of course as soon as I had taken this photograph I did the obvious thing with them. Yep that's right.....I rolled them up and put them back in the cupboard!!!!!
And the last thing I pulled out of the cupboard was this.
There were other things but I think you get the idea of what I have in my cupboards. I have got two garbage bags to go to the tip and two more to be sold or sent to the Op Shop so I think I did really well, and there are spare shelves in the cupboard now!!!!!

Oh wow, I just love that picture your husband gave you for your 17th birthday, gorgeous!
What great finds in your cupboard! It may be tearful to part with some things, but just consider what you can fill the empty space with...lol...!! Happy crafting, Jenny
I still have my Boy George scrap book, and I am NOT throwing that out...inside it were TV Week posters, of Wham, Madonna...fabulous.....I say keep a little, little bit of it....just for memories sake...
Do you remember that the newspapers in the 70's and 80's used to put in iron on transfers of bands or celebrities? I found some I'd hoarded that had Abba, Bay City Rollers and Sherbet! Now that was a trip down memory lane for me!(and...um...yes I did put them back in the envelope and hide them in the sewing room...even after trying one on a singlet for one of the girls and knowing they don't work properly!)
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Sure a fab time.
Groooovy baby :o)
Those mags are probably worth $$ on ebay today lol, we had style back then didn't we ?

What a blast from the past. Dolly was a huge part of my teen years. Love the picture your husband bought you all those years ago . I wonder how quickly you will fill those shelves. I've never managed spare shelves !
